Amazing museum. All staff members guards are so knowledgeable and helpful as well.

Need to spend at least two days in Detroit just to enjoy their vast and historically significant collections.

Also I noticed that they have many events there. So check their calendar to plan your trip.

I love the DIA, especially the fantastic collection of Dutch masters and the Rivera fresco. They always have amazing traveling exhibits. I highly recommend to native Detroiters and visitors.

I love the many different exhibits here and the fact that Oakland county residents can get in free. Also the free coat check in is great. Parking is of course a small challenge if u do not want to pay. Mostly over weekends but if u don't mind paying its very convenient.

As one would expect, the museum is gorgeous, well kept, and climate controlled. There is plenty of space to move about and it's even outfitted to host events with food. My last visit there was amazing.

Lovely museum with a terrific collection. The highlight for me were the spectacular Diego Rivera murals commissioned by Ford, as well as important pieces by Van Gogh, Degas, Picasso & Matisse.

But what really set this place apart from just about every other art museum I've been to on four continents were the docents. They would approach you in a gallery and ask if you had any questions, but were respectful if you just wanted to look at the art.

What blew me away is that two separate docents on two different floors took our kids aside to talk to them about various pieces and engage them in a very genuine way allowing my wife and I a chance to really observe, for instance, the Rivera murals without distraction for 10-15 minutes. Those of you with small children (mine are 4 & 7) will realize what a treat this is. Overall a wonderful experience.
